Instructing English Learners with Learning Disabilities
This one day workshop will provide educators with an overview of language development and second language acquisition with a specific focus on English Language Learners (ELLs). We will discuss the overlap and impact of language-based learning disabilities when students are dually identified as ELL and LBLD. Participants will review specific strategies and tools to better identify, understand, and support ELL students, as well as create a safe, inclusive, and productive classroom for all students.
